2024 Stags Crown Cabernet Sauvignon
The Stags Crown offers robust raspberry notes on the nose, both in berry seed and coulis form. The medium-toned red fruit notes are taken down an octave thanks to fragrant cacao and medium roast coffee characteristics. There’s a playful element that reminds of apple-raspberry fun dip, joined by flecks of fresh thyme. The palate is at once plush and plump, nudged one direction by slate and another via a bright and juicy acidity. Structurally, there’s grainy, somewhat rustic tannin that persists all the way to a balanced close.

2023 Andrus Cabernet Sauvignon
Leading with a vibrant minerality, the Andrus Estate reveals notes of petrichor followed by black raspberry compote, underscored by slate-driven mineral nuances. Hints of Madagascar vanilla are complemented by dried herbal notes reminiscent of herbes de Provence. The palate opens with bright energy and toasted cocoa nibs, seamlessly woven together by fine-grained tannins. Rich and mouth-filling on entry, the structured wine is supported by broad-shouldered tannins before giving way to fresh black cherry and subtle roasted coffee on the finish.
