Total Time: 60 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 prepared pizza dough
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 8 ounces button mushrooms, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ cup parmesan cheese, shredded
- 2-3 sprigs thyme
- 1 small bunch basil
- ½ teaspoon black pepper, freshly cracked
Preparation
- Heat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Roll out prepared pizza dough on a parchment lined baking sheet and brush with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Bake for 6-7 minutes, until golden.
- Add butter into a pan over medium-low heat and melt. Add onions, consistently stirring, until the onions begin to brown and caramelize, about 10-15 minutes. Add mushrooms and continue cooking for 5-7 minutes. Stir in garlic and remove from heat.
- Evenly spread the onions and mushrooms on the baked dough. Top with spinach, mozzarella cheese, and parmesan cheese. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil, fresh thyme, and black pepper. Slice and serve.
