2019 Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon – 95 Points, Wine Enthusiast
Admiring this wine’s deep purple hue in the glass reminds us why it has become such a mainstay in our portfolio. Redolent with blue and black fruits, this rendition’s aromatics are metered by notes of cinnamon, white pepper and cola. With a bright vibrancy, juicy notes of chocolate-covered blueberry meld with Earl Grey tea and bay leaf on the palate. The velvety smoothness of the tannin structure brings a refined element to the wine’s finish and makes it irresistible now. However, it will benefit from extended aging and should show nicely through 2039.
2021 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon – 93 Points, Wine Enthusiast
Oakville being our warmest estate vineyard location, this wine is a feast to the senses for any Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon enthusiast that lusts for an uber ripe rendition of this noble grape. Examples of this aesthetic would be the blackberry jam, black olive and pencil shaving nuances noted on the nose. These then transition into a mélange of flavors on the mid-palate from vanilla cream and toasted marshmallow to English Breakfast tea and blackcap raspberry. While a touch gritty upfront, the tannins plump up quickly on the midpalate and transition to a slightly drying finish that cleanses the palate in preparation for the next sip.
2021 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon – 93 Points, Wine Enthusiast
While admiring the cranberry red hue, forward fruit aromatics of black cherry and cassis begin to make your mouth water before the first sip! On the palate, juicy notes of blueberry compote and cherry cordial meld seamlessly with hints of cinnamon and cream soda. The wine methodically transitions from the bright, round entry through the viscous midpalate and onto a broad-shouldered finish. This is where hints of clove, graham cracker and toasted marshmallow are juxtaposed with those of dark roast coffee and Bing cherry.
2021 Stagecoach Cabernet Sauvignon
A symphony of dried herb and cranberry abound upon entry and evolve into symphony of Damsom plum, gingerbread and rose petals across the palate. Slightly gripping tannins and the luscious essence of blackberry juice ignites a finish punctuated by fresh cut cedar and blackberry seed.
2021 Cabernet Franc
Floral potpourri immediately identifies this as a prototypical Cabernet Franc, with nuanced notes of fresh blueberries and Kalamata olives adding to the layering of the aromatics. On the palate, a firm tannin structure provides ballast around which vanilla and espresso notes are interwoven with cranberry and Rainier cherry notes. This tight midpalate then transitions to a mouth-watering raspberry milk truffle finish.
2022 Sauvignon Blanc
The bright pop of ripe Meyer lemon is the first essence one notices on the nose and continues to open up with hints of lemon curd and meringue. A touch of oak brings sweetness and tames the zestiness of the wine. Mineral and saline notes balance the creaminess and juicy mango flavors that abound on the mid-palate, propelled by a bright and juicy texture that unfolds into notes of lemongrass and white peach, bringing a crispness that lengthens the finish.
